Single Review

Nero have been slowly gaining a name for themselves in the business and with their debut album out later this year they have given us a good glimpse of what we could be in for with this very strong release.

Innocence is all about the slow build up. Taking a blueprint from 90s rave but adding a killer dub hook it takes a minute and a half to kick in but when it does it is all attitude, frantic meshing of basslines to a desperate vocal. It is a song sure to reach eager DJs over the coming months and it is a cracking piece of dance music.

Electron is more easy going in tone but still has some classic rave set ups contained within its four minutes. It goes by with a 1000bpm energy in its music and certainly raises the adrenaline. It easily could fit into the 90s rave scene but is more than welcome here and now.

Two good tracks show off a lot of promise in 2010 for Nero.
