Single Review

Formed of Foo Fighters Dave Grohl, Queens of the Stone Ages Josh Homme, and Led Zepplins John Paul, Them Crooked Vultures are the newly formed super band rock fans have been waiting for. Released on 16th November, New Fang is their eagerly anticipated debut single and it does not disappoint.

With Josh Homme on lead vocals and guitar you can immediately find comparisons to his band, Queens of the Stone Age, but the influence of Dave Grohl and John Pauls own music style, the band offer a fresh take on the 1990s stoner rock sound. Its laid back effortless sound is given a kick with Hommes smooth vocals.

Its great to see Dave Grohl back on drums arguably one of the best drummers of our time, he provides a great beat on New Fang and reminding fans of his talent elsewhere of fronting his own band, Foo Fighters. Hommes signature guitar sound is present giving the song a rough, edgy sound. There is no other sound around like this at the moment: its new, its fresh and it will definitely be appreciated and loved by rock music lovers.
