Pixies
Pixies are a Boston-based alternative rock band formed in 1986, featuring Black Francis / Frank Black on vocals, David Lovering - drums, Joey Santiago - guitar and Paz Lenchantin - bass. The band split in 1993, but reformed in 2004.
Their entire catalogue is worthy of anyone's attention, with the debut album, "Surfer Rosa" in 1988, followed by: "Doolittle" (1989), "Bossanova" (1990), "Trompe le Monde" (1991), the comeback EP "Bagboy" (2013), plus: "Indie Cindy" (2014), "Head Carrier" (2016), "Beneath the Eyrie" (2019), plus 2022's: "Doggerel".
Frank Black went on to issue various solo albums. Long-term bass player Kim Deal left the band in June 2013.
