Steve Reich is an American composer and minimalist pioneer whose early compositions pioneered the use of tape loops to create "phasing" effects.
Key works include "Come Out", "Drumming", "Music For 18 Musicians", "Different Trains" (with Pat Metheny/Kronos Quartet) and "Octet".
