Monty Alexander

Jamaican-born jazz-pianist and melodica player who cut his first disc in 1964, entitled "Alexander The Great".

He has recorded with some of the biggest names in jazz including Milt Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Dizzy Gillespie, Ahmad Jamal and Ernest Ranglin, plus many more.

He embraced the reggae rhythms and sounds in the 90s, recording an album of Bob Marley songs in 1999, called "Stir It Up".
