The Chords UK

Mod-revival band formed in the 80s by Billy Hassett, Martin Mason, Brett Ascott and Chris Pope - predominantly from South East London.

Key songs include "Maybe Tomorrow", "Now It's Gone", "Something's Missing" and "In My Street". Along with Secret Affair and Lambrettas, the band crossed over briefly to daytime radio, but only released one album "So Far Away" in 1980 before imploding the following year.

Chris Pope has embarked on a solo career with a few old Chords classics and new songs in the repertoire (calling himself just 'Pope').
