Karine Polwart

Scottish multi award-winning folk singer, songwriter and guitarist whose music often deals with challenging themes, from alcoholism to genocide.

In 2005, Polwart won three BBC Radio Folk Awards for the album "Faultlines" and another for the song "Daisy" in 2007. Other releases include the albums: "Scribbled in Chalk" (2006), "Fairest Floo'er" (2007), "This Earthly Spell" (2008), "Traces" (2012), "A Pocket of Wind Resistance" (2017), "Laws of Motion" (2018), "Karine Polwart's Scottish Songbook" (2019), plus 2021's: "Still as Your Sleeping".

Karine tours most often as a trio with her brother Steven Polwart (acoustic and electric guitars, ukulele & vocals) and singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Inge Thomson (accordion, percussion, loops & vocals)
