Brooklyn-based afrobeat outfit, formed in 1998 by Martín Perna (as 'Conjunto Antibalas').

The AAO, modeled on Fela Kuti's Africa 70 band and Eddie Palmieri's Harlem River Drive Orchestra, released their debut album, "Liberation Afrobeat Vol. 1" in 2000, followed by: "Talkatif" (2002), "Who is This America?" (2004), "Security" (2007), "Antibalas" (2012), plus 2017's: "Where the Gods Are in Peace".
