Ray Cooper is an English folk singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, aka 'Chopper'.

From 1987 to February 2013, Ray was the bass player, cellist and vocalist in the renowned folk band Oysterband.

Following his departure from Oysterband, Sweden-based Ray is now pursuing his own solo career, and released his debut album titled 'Tales of Love War and Death by Hanging'.
