The Zapp Band

Zapp/ The Zapp Band are an influential funk band from Ohio, formed in 1977. Their songs and basslines inspired and were sampled by many early electro/ hip hop songs.

Key songs include: "More Bounce to the Ounce", "Dance Floor", "I Can Make You Dance" and "Computer Love".

They released their debut album, "Zapp" in 1980, followed by: "Zapp II" (1982), "Zapp III" (1983), "The New Zapp IV" (1985), "Zapp Vibe" (1989), plus 2001's: "Zapp VI: Back by Popular Demand".
