Jo Brand

Award-winning English stand-up comedian/ presenter/ TV personality, active since the mid-'80s and whose early routines featured self-effacing and celebratory statements about food and eating.

Her breakthrough series appeared on Channel 4, entitled "Through The Cakehole".

In 2011 she was awarded Best Female TV Comic at the British Comedy Awards.

She also co-wrote and starred in the successful BBC sit-com "Getting On", a satire on NHS performance set in a hospital.
