Youssou N'Dour is a multi award-winning Senegalise singer, songwriter and musician, described by Rolling Stone magazine as 'perhaps the most famous singer alive in Africa'. Familiar songs include: "7 Seconds" (with Neneh Cherry) and "Shaking the Tree" (with Peter Gabriel).

He released his debut album, "Ndiadiane Ndiaye" in 1982, but it was 1985's: "Immigrés" that put him on the international map, with other albums that crossed-over including: "The Lion" (1989), "Set" (1990), "Eyes Open" (1992), "The Guide (Wommat)" (1994), plus 2004's: "Egypt".
