Chris Bonington
Sir Chris Bonington is a famous British mountaineer whose first successful peak was Mont Blanc in 1961 with others including the Old Man of Hoy in 1966 and Everest with the Norwegian Everest Expedition in 1985.
He received a CBE in 1976, was knighted in 1996 and received the CVO in 2010.
