The Merchant of Venice
The Merchant of Venice is a play by William Shakespeare, written between 1596 and 1598.

The story revolves around fallen noble man Bassanio, his wealthy friend Antonio and money lender Shylock, through whom Bassanio hopes to fund his journey to Belmont in order to woo the beauty (and heiress) Portia.
