Ballet company based at the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden.

Founded by Dame Ninette de Valois in 1931 as the Vic-Wells Ballet, it was renamed several times until moving to the Royal Opera House and being granted the title of 'The Royal Ballet' in 1957.
