Terry Riley

Influential American minimalist and systems-music composer and musician, often associated with Indian influences and ragas.

His best-known works include "In C" and "A Rainbow In Curved Air".

Considered to be ahead of his time, he prempted Steve Reich's use of tape-loops by a good few years, beginning in the 1950's.
