Musical written by Arthur Laurents (book), Leonard Bernstein (music), and Stephen Sondheim (lyrics). The story is inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Famous songs include "Maria", "Tonight", "Somewhere", "America" and "I Feel Pretty".

In 2013, Sadler's Wells presented the musical with the original Jerome Robbins choreography.
