Multi award-winning Glaswegian indie-rock band formed in 2002 and featuring Alex Kapranos - vocals and guitar, Nick McCarthy - guitar, Bob Hardy - bass and Paul Thomson - drums.

Their key songs include "Take Me Out", "Do You Want To" and "The Dark of the Matinee" with albums including their successful eponymous debut, released in 2004. Follow-up album, "You Could Have It So Much Better" was released the following year 2005, plus: "Tonight: Franz Ferdinand" (2009), "Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action" (2013), and 2018's: "Always Ascending".
