Mercury award-winning UK indie outfit, originally from Southport, of Ian Ball, Ben Ottewell, Tom Gray, Paul Blackburn and Olly Peacock.
Now split between Brighton and the US (LA, New York), Gomez picked up the Mercury prize for their 1998 debut record 'Bring It On'. They issued follow-up album, "Liquid Skin" in 1999, followed by: "In Our Gun" (2002), "Split the Difference" (2004), "How We Operate" (2006), "A New Tide" (2009), plus 2011's: "Whatever's on Your Mind".
