Marcelo D2 is a Brazilian rapper and beats-producer and founder of the band Planet Hemp.

His solo work incorporates samba, hip-hop and Latin-soul.

He released his debut album, "Eu Tiro é Onda" in 1998, followed by: "À Procura da Batida Perfeita" (2003), "Meu Samba é Assim" (2006), "A Arte do Barulho" (2008), "Marcelo D2 canta Bezerra da Silva" (2010), "Nada Pode Me Parar" (2013), "Amar é para os Fortes" (2018), "Assim Tocam os Meus Tambores" (2020), plus 2023's: "Iboru".
