"Kid Carpet is Ed Patrick, a solo artist who began making music as a bit of a joke which pretty soon got out of hand.

Ed was performing in an indie band who kept buying expensive, heavy equipment and hurting their backs carrying said heavy equipment in and out of music venues. Thinking that there was an easier way to have fun with music, Ed went to his local car boot sale with a ten pound note and returned with a plastic guitar, keyboard and tape deck. He put his name into an online anagram generating machine and Kid Carpet was born."
