Rigoletto is an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi, first performed in Venice on 1851.

"A tragic story of passion, revenge and sacrifice, focused on lowly jester Rigoletto, the daughter he loves and the Duke he serves. Deceived by those he mocks, Rigoletto unknowingly assists in the abduction of his own daughter, Gilda.
