Singer, songwriter and guitarist with US alt-rock trailblazers Sonic Youth, as well as a soloist and founder of Chelsea Light Moving.

He released his debut solo album, "Psychic Hearts" in 1995, followed by: "Trees Outside the Academy" (2007), "Demolished Thoughts" (2011), "The Best Day" (2014), plus 2017's: "Rock n Roll Consciousness", "Spirit Counsel" (2019 - as Thurston Moore Group), as well as various collaborations with Elliot Sharp and Lee Ranaldo, Merzbow, Yoko Ono, plus Pvre Matrix.
