American jazz-funk brass-ensemble based in Chicago.

The outfit have issued several one-off vinyl releases, as well as a self-titled debut album in 2009.

They released their debut album, "Flipside" in 2004, followed by: "Jupiter" (2005), "Sankofa" (2007), "New York City Live" (2007), "The Brothas" (2008), "Hypnotic Brass Ensemble" (2009), "Bulletproof Brass" (2011), "Kelan Philip Cohran and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble" (2012), "Fly: The Customs Prelude" (2013), "Sound Rhythm & Form" (2016), "Book of Sound" (2017), "Hypnotic Joints, Volume One" (2017), "Bad Boys of Jazz" (2020), plus 2021's: "This is a Mindfulness Drill".
