Burt Bacharach

[1928 - 2023] Burt Bacharach was a renowned American songwriter and musician, famed for his song-writing partnership with the late lyricist Hal David as part of Bacharach and David from the 1950s through to the 1980s.

Much of their output was produced for Dionne Warwick, with songs such as: 'Don't Make Me Over', 'Walk On By', 'I Say a Little Prayer' and 'Make It Easy on Yourself' - all charting well all over the world.

Other hit songs include: "This Guy's in Love with You", "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head", "(They Long to Be) Close to You", "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)", and "That's What Friends Are For", among others, recorded by the likes of: Gene Pitney, Cilla Black, Dusty Springfield, Jackie DeShannon, Bobbie Gentry, Tom Jones, Herb Alpert, B. J. Thomas, and the Carpenters.
