Lonnie Liston Smith
American soul, jazz and funk musician who guested and collaborated with Miles Davis, Rahsaan Roland Kirk and Pharoah Sanders, before forming The Cosmic Echoes and a slight change in direction towards jazz-funk.
He hit the big-time with the club classic, "Expansions". The track "A Garden Of Peace" has been sampled by several artists including Jay-Z and MF Doom and his link with hip-hop continued with his appearance on "Jazzmatazz Vol 1" by Guru.
Other albums include "Exotic Mysteries" and "Magic Lady".
