Mercury Rev
American dream-pop and alt-rock band comprised of lead singer Jonathan Donahue plus 'Grasshopper' - guitars, Dave Fridmann - bass, Jeff Mercel and Carlos Molina.
Their sound has veered from psychedelic rock ("Yerself Is Steam" 1991) to atmospheric dream-pop ("Snowflake Midnight" 2008) via orchestral-rock ("Deserter's Songs" 1998) and they have acheived far more success in the UK than their homeland. The band released their first new album in seven years, "The Light In You", in 2015.
