Gateshead International Jazz Festival is an annual jazz festival based at the Sage in Gateshead.

The 2016 event featured Gregory Porter, Arun Ghosh, Evan Parker, Liane Carroll, WorldService Project (with Chris Sharkey), Phil Meadows 'Lifecycles' (with Royal Northern Sinfonia and Jambone), John Law's Congregation and Michel Reis Band, John Surman and Alexander Hawkins Trio, Courtney Pine and Zoe Rahman with the Terence Blanchard e-collective, Roberto Fonseca Trio, Kris Bowers, Café Society Swing, Airelle Besson and Nelson Veras with Malija, The Simon Spillett Quartet (play the music of Tubby Hayes), Charles Bradley & his Extraordinaires and Ibrahim Maalouf.
