American rock band from Athens, Georgia, formed in 1996 by frontman and lead vocalist Kevin Barnes.
The debut album was 1997's 'Cherry Peel' but it was their 8th album, 2007's 'Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?', that gained them widespread recognition, peaking at No 2 on the US Indie chart.
