David Essex

OBE-awarded English actor and pop-rock singer whose music career started in the 70s with the hits 'Rock On', 'Gonna Make You a Star', 'Stardust', 'Rolling Stone', 'Hold Me Close' and many more.

David got his first break in theatre playing the part of Che in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Evita, later appearing in the film 'Silver Dream Racer', and has since played numerous West End roles.

In 2011, Essex enjoyed a spell in Eastenders, playing the character Eddie Moon. He released an autobiography "Over the Moon" in 2012.
