Hayseed Dixie

American Appalachian band featuring John Wheeler (AKA "Barley Scotch") - singer, guitar & fiddle, Hippy Joe Hymas - mandolin/ guitar, Jake "Bakesnake" Byers - bass and Tim Carter - banjo.

Their forte is converting classic rock tracks (initially AC/DC - geddit?) into bluegrass and appalachian hoe-downs.

They released their debut album, "A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC" in 2001, followed by: "A Hillbilly Tribute to Mountain Love" (2002), "Kiss My Grass: A Hillbilly Tribute to Kiss" (2003), "Let There Be Rockgrass" (2004), "A Hot Piece of Grass" (2005), "Weapons of Grass Destruction" (2007), "No Covers" (2008), "Killer Grass" (2010), "Sjt. Munchs Drikkeklubb Band" (2011), "Nicotine and Alcohol" (2012), "Grasswhoopin' Party Pack, Vol.1/2" (2013), "Hair Down To My Grass" (2015), plus 2017's: "Free Your Mind and Your Grass Will Follow".
