The Fatback Band
American soul-funk outfit formed in the '70s, later known as Fatback.
Members have included Bill "Fatback" Curtis - drums, George Williams - trumpet, Ledjerick Todd Woods - trumpet, Bob "Zoot" James - keyboard and others.
Their hits include "(Do The) Spanish Hustle", "Double Dutch", "I Found Lovin" and "(Are You Ready) Do The Bus Stop".
Their 1979 track "King Tim III (Personality Jock)" is often cited as being the first rap record.
