The Flying Dutchman

An 1843 opera ('Der fliegende Holländer'), with music and libretto by Richard Wagner.

Wagner conducted the premiere at the Semper Oper in Dresden in 1843. The work is based on Heinrich Heine's satire 'The Memoirs of Mister von Schnabelewopski'.
