Author & Punisher is a American musician, mechanical engineer and artist, Tristan Shone from San Diego. He uses custom-designed instrumentation and controllers for his performances.

He released his debut album, "The Painted Army" in 2005, followed by: "Warcry" (2007), "Drone Machines" (2010), "Ursus Americanus" (2012), "Women & Children" (2013), "Melk En Honing" (2015), "Pressure Mine" (2017), plus 2018's: "Beastland".
