Matana Roberts is an American sound experimentalist, visual artist, jazz saxophonist and clarinetist, composer and improviser from New York City.

Debut album, "Lines for Lacy" was released in 2006, followed by: "The Calling" (2007), "The Chicago Project" (2008), "Coin Coin Chapter One: Gens de couleur libres" (2011), "Live in London" (2011), "Coin Coin Chapter Two: Mississippi Moonchile" (2013), "Always" (2015), "Coin Coin Chapter Three: River Run Thee" (2015), plus 2019's: "Coin Coin Chapter Four: Memphis".
