Ballet-inspired contemporary dance choreographed by multi award-winning choreographer Matthew Bourne (OBE) which premiered at Sadler's Wells in London in 1995. In this version, the traditional female corps de ballet is replaced with a menacing male ensemble.

The 90s productions were the longest running ballet in both the West End and on Broadway, in the process collecting over 30 awards.
