Next to Normal is a Pullitzer prize-winning American rock musical with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt. The story focuses on a mother who struggles with worsening bipolar disorder and the effects that managing her illness has on her family.
Next To Normal is an intimate exploration of family and loss. At its heart is Diana Goodman, a suburban wife and mother living with bipolar disorder and haunted by her past.
The 2024 London run is directed by the Donmar Artistic Director, Michael Longhurst.
