GWAR

GWAR are an American, Virginia-based metal/shock rock band that mixes theatre, horror and outrageous costumes into its shows.

The band features long-term member, Mike Derks (Balsac the Jaws of Death) - rhythm guitar/ backing vocals, Brad Roberts (Jizmak Da Gusha) - drums, Matt Maguire (Sawborg Destructo) - backing vocals, Bob Gorman (Bonesnapper) - backing vocals, Don Drakulich (Sleazy P. Martini) - backing vocals and Casey Orr (Beefcake the Mighty) - bass/ backing vocals.

Key releases include "Scumdogs Of The Universe", "Carnival of Chaos", "We Kill Everything" and "Bloody Pit Of Horror".

The character Flattus Maximus was retired from the band after guitarist Cory Smoot, who had played the part from 2002, died of a coronary condition in 2011.
