Influential German electronic, ambient, progressive krautrock band founded in 1967 by the late Edgar Froese. Other key members have included Klaus Schulze, Christopher Franke, Peter Baumann and Linda Spa. as of 2020, the band features: long-term member, Thorsten Quaeschning - keys/ drums/ vocals/ guitar, plus Ulrich Schnauss - keys and Hoshiko Yamane - violins/ cello/ loops.

Their extensive catalogue includes over 200 releases such as "Alpha Centauri", "Zeit", "Phaedra", "Tangram", "White Eagle", an alternative soundtrack to the film Legend and "The Knights of Asheville".
