Industrial, post-punk and experimental US musician, producer and artist, Jim Thirlwell (J.G.Thirlwell), also performing as Foetus and Xordox.

Albums and singles released under the various incarnations of Foetus include: Deaf - You've Got Foetus on Your Breath (1981), Hole - Scraping Foetus off the Wheel (1984), Thaw - Foetus Interruptus (1988), Rife - Foetus Corruptus (1988), Male - Foetus in Excelsis Corruptus Deluxe (1992) and Hide - Foetus (2010) - there are many more variations.

Thirlwell also teamed up with Swans' Roli Mosimann to form the band Wiseblood ('80s and '90s).
