The Sound of Music is a legendary musical based on the Von Trapp family in war-torn Austria, and featuring the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2015.
The story became familiar to audiences everywhere after the release of the 1965 film starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer.
