Level 42 are a British soul/ funk/ pop outfit formed in the late '70s and part of the period's Brit-Funk scene, later to become a globally successful hit-making band.

The band features founder members Mark King and Mike Lindup (who returned in 2006).

Key albums include "The Pursuit of Accidents", "World Machine", "Standing In The Light", "True Colours" and the cross-over "Running in the Family", plus "Staring at the Sun", "Guaranteed", "Forever Now", "Retroglide", "Sirens" (I and II).
