Blithe Spirit

Comic play written by Noel Coward, first performed in 1941, concerning a seance organised by socialite and novelist, Charles Condomine.

His hopes of inspiration for his next novel are quashed by the presence of the ghost of his first wife, Elvira. His current wife, Ruth, cannot see or hear the ghost as Charles attempts to win a battle of wits.
