Empirical are a multi award-winning London-based jazz band, featuring Nathaniel Facey - Alto Sax, Kit Downes - Piano, Tom Farmer - Double Bass and Shaney Forbes - Drums. They won the 2010 MOBO Award for Best British Jazz group.

Their self-titled debut album was produced by Courtney Pine.

Other albums include "Out 'n' In", "Elements of Truth", "Tabula Rasa" and "Connection".
