Mad Dog Mcrea are a Plymouth-based band fronted by Irish-born vocalist and guitarist, Michael Mathieson.
The band blend a unique mixture of folk-rock, pop, gypsy-jazz, bluegrass and with uptempo energy. From self-penned songs of adventure, drinking, love and life, to traditional songs of gypsies, fairies, legless pirates and black flies - Mad Dog never fail to capture their audience with their infectious songs.
They released their debut album, "Away with the Fairies" in 2002, followed by: "Sophisticated Hat Manoeuvres" (2006), "The Whirling Dervish" (2011), plus 2015's: "Almost Home ".
