The Jive Aces

UK-based swing/ Boogie-woogie band, featuring Ian Clarkson (lead vocals & trumpet), John Fordham (tenor, bariton sax & clarinet), Vince Hurley (piano), Alex Douglas (trombone), Ken Smith (double bass) and Peter Howell (drums).

The Jive Aces are the UK's top Jive & Swing band. Renowned for their hot, swinging music and high-energy stage show, they play songs made famous by such greats as Bobby Darin, Louis Prima and Sammy Davis Jnr as well as featuring a selection of superb originals.

The Jive Aces brought the house down at thousands of festivals, theatres, and dance halls throughout the UK, Europe, the USA and beyond, also making hundreds of TV and radio appearances worldwide.

This in-demand six piece have worked with Van Morrison, John Travolta and Isaac Hayes as well as performing for HRH Prince Philip.

Their album, 'Recipe for Rhythm', recorded in Hollywood, California, features very special guests Chick Corea, Mr. Acker Bilk, Mark Isham, Vic Flick and Toni Elizabeth Prima (daughter of Louis Prima and Keely Smith).

The band appeared on the 2012 series of Britain's Got Talent, qualifying for the semi-final, but were not selected for the finals.
