American power-pop and new-wave outfit formed in 1978. Currently the band consists of Charlotte Caffey - lead guitar and keyboards, Belinda Carlisle - lead vocals, Gina Schock - drums, Kathy Valentine - bass guitar, and Jane Wiedlin - rhythm guitar.

The group have scored a few hit albums in the U.S., including the no.1 debut Beauty and the Beat and its follow-up Vacation. Key songs include Our Lips Are Sealed (co-written with Terry Hall and Fun Boy Three), We Got The Beat and The Whole World Lost Its Head.
