Skids
Skids are a Scottish punk/ rock band formed in 1977. Their biggest success was the single titled 'Into the Valley', 'Masquerade', 'Working For The Yankee Dollar', 'Sweet Surburbia', 'The Saints Are Coming' and more.
The band features founder member, Richard Jobson - lead vocals/ guitar/ keyboards, Nick Hernandez - drums, Connor Whyte - guitar, Martin Metcalfe - guitar/ backing vocals, and Fin Wilson - bass.
Founder Stuart Adamson went on to form Big Country before sadly passing away in 2001.
They released their debut album, "Days in Europa" in 1979, followed by: "Scared to Dance" (1979), "The Absolute Game" (1980), "Joy" (1981), "Burning Cities" (2018), "Peaceful Times" (2019), "Songs from a Haunted Ballroom" (2021), plus 2023's: "Destination Düsseldorf".
