The Doobie Brothers

The Doobie Brothers are a multi platinum-selling American fusion band formed in the early 70s, originally featuring Tom Johnston - guitars/ vocals, Patrick Simmons - guitars/ vocals, Dave Shogren - bass/ vocals and John Hartman - drums/ backing vocals.

The band has gone through numerous incarnations, including featuring singer, songwriter and musician Michael McDonald. As of 2025, the band features founder member guitarists and vocalists Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons, 70s members Michael McDonald, and John McFee (guitars/ violin/ vocals).

Among their many hits are: 'What a Fool Believes', 'Minute by Minute', 'Long Train Runnin' and 'Takin' It to the Streets'.

They released their debut eponymous album in 1971, followed by: "Toulouse Street" (1972), "The Captain and Me" (1973), "What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits" (1974), "Stampede" (1975), "Takin' It to the Streets" (1976), "Livin' on the Fault Line" (1977), "Minute by Minute" (1978), "One Step Closer" (1980), "Cycles" (1989), "Brotherhood" (1991), "Sibling Rivalry" (2000), "World Gone Crazy" (2010), "Southbound" (2014), "Liberté" (2021), plus 2025's: "Walk This Road".
