Phil Ranelin and Tribe Renaissance

Phil Ranelin is an American trombonist, composer and arranger originally from Indianapolis. He formed multi-generational jazz ensemble Tribe Renaissance in LA in 2001. Phil was inducted into the Indianapolis Jazz Hall of Fame in 2016.

He released his debut album, "Message from the Tribe" in 1972, followed by: "Love Dream" (1986), "A Close Encounter of the Very Best Kind" (1996), "Vibes from the Tribe" (2001), "The Time Is Now!" (2001), "Remixes" (2002), "Inspiration" (2004), "Reminiscence" (2009), "Living a New Day" (2009), plus 2011's: "Perseverance with Henry Franklin and Big Black".
